Onion Festival
We love farmers, we love food, and we love fun. It’s a no brainer we’d add a little *spice* to our season with monthly special event days!
In October, join us in closing out the season with Onion Fest! Coming from the Abenaki ‘Winoskitekw,’ meaning ‘onion land river,’ Winooski is known as Vermont’s Onion City. We’re excited to celebrate our roots and reputation with this Onion Festival!
Onion Fest is October 20, 2024 at the Winooski Farmers Market (20 Winooski Falls Way) from 10am-2pm.

Community Cookbook Information
We know the Onion City is full of recipes that live up to the name! Have a favorite family recipe using onions? Want to share it with the whole city? Now you can! We’re collecting submissions for a Onion City Community Cookbook! Recipes will be collected throughout the summer and are due September 1st. A limited supply of cookbooks will be available for sale at Onion Fest on October 20th and a copy will be available at the Winooski Memorial Library.
