Best Pooch in the Noosk is a fun, lighthearted contest where every dog is welcome! Proud pup parents bring their pooches to compete for titles such as Cutest, Looks Most Like Their Owner, Best Costume, Best Trick, and Worst Breath. The contest originated at the Winooski Farmers Market in 2017 and ran for two years before a hiatus, then returned in 2024 as a co-fundraiser for the market and local dog rescues.

We can’t welcome to welcome your furry friends at the market for a doggone good time!

Contest

The contest is a co-fundraiser for the Winooski Farmers Market and dog rescue, For the Love of Dogs Vermont! Let’s have some fun while supporting dogs and food access.

Registration: Register at the Manager’s Tent between 10–11:45am the day of the contest. Contest kicks off at noon! Maximum of 40 entrants.

Cost to Register: $20 per dog, cash or card

Categories: All dogs are automatically entered into all five categories: Cutest, Looks Most Like Their Owner, Best Costume, Best Trick, and Worst Breath.

Prize: Prize TBA!
